As Rajasthan gears up to vote on December 7 for Assembly elections to 200 state Assembly seats, all eyes are on some of the high-profile seats which would witness tough fight between top leaders from the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Congress.
The contest between CM Vasundhara Raje and former Congress leader Manvendra Singh, son of former Union Minister Jaswant Singh, on Jhalrapatan seat has attracted everyone's attention.
Similarly, in Tonk, Rajasthan Congress president Sachin Pilot is up against BJP's only Muslim candidate in the state Yoonus Khan.
After the Congress fielded Pilot in Tonk, the BJP did brainstorming and replaced sitting MLA Ajit Singh Mehta, who figured in the first list issued on November 11.
Khan is a sitting MLA from Deedwana constituency of Nagaur district whose name was kept reserved by the party till the last moment.
Udaipur too will witness a clash between veteran leaders from the two main parties. BJP's Gulab Chand Kataria is fighting the Assembly election against seasoned Congress leader Girija Vyas.
