Vasundhara Raje talks exclusively to India TV ahead of Rajasthan elections

“We are fighting elections on the basis of the party, in the name of the party,” Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje told India TV. She further said the process of elections is not new and the leaders of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) have been talking about it. I am confident that people will support the BJP in the upcoming elections in the state, she said.

“Elections in the state are being fought on the basis of the party, in the name of the party. It includes the contribution of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP President Amit Shah and all leaders of the party,” Raje told India TV.

When asked about the Congress and its election campaign in the state, the chief minister said, “The leaders of the Congress party were not seen anywhere in the past 5 years and are now showing confidence of emerging victorious in the elections.”

“Congress tried to create differences among us and was hopeful that this would take their political strategy forward,” Raje said.

“It is not possible that everyone under a democracy will speak the same language, there will be people who stand with us, while there are some who do not,” the chief minister said.

Raje further talked about dispute among the leaders of the Congress and said their party chief has no knowledge or will power.

“Ram Mandir will be constructed in Ayodhya,” the chief minister said, on the question of party’s stand on the issue.

Rajasthan will go to polls on December 7 and the counting of votes will take place on December 11.
