Lauding its performance in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh Assembly Elections, former Congress chief and UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi described the party's performance as a victory over the BJP's negative politics.
Expressing happiness over the polls outcome, the UPA chairperson said that it was a "Congress victory over the BJP's negative politics".

Congress made significant gains in the Assembly Elections by ending the 15-year rule of BJP in Chhattisgarh and emerging as the single-largest party in Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan.
Speaking to reports after victory earlier on Tuesday, Congress President Rahul Gandhi said that the poll outcome is a clear message to the Modi government that people are not happy with it and time has come for a change while asserting that his party will also win in 2019.
