For the upcoming municipal elections in Jammu and Kashmir (J&K), the Congress party on Monday announced its another list of candidates.
From October 8-16, in four phases, municipal elections in the state will be held. On October 20, counting of votes will take place. The party, in its fourth list, announced the names of 12 candidates for the Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC). Earlier, the grand old party had announced the names of 75 candidates.

In a related development, on Sunday, the J&K unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) released another list of 11 candidates. The list is released for Leh Municipal Corporation in Ladakh region.
For the urban local body polls, this was the third list of candidates released by the BJP in the past few days.
The saffron party’s first list comprised of 380 candidates. Its second list had 34 candidates.
