Shiv Sena on Monday released its first list of candidates for Madhya Pradesh state assembly election, scheduled to be held on 28 November to elect members of the 230 constituencies. In total, the first list contains 21 names. The second list will be released on 25 October.
The counting of votes will be held on 11 December.
The poll in the state is being seen as a direct political battle between the Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) and the Congress. While Shivraj Singh Chouhan government will try to win for the consecutive 4th term, the grand old party will fight for regaining power after 2003.
