In the 2019 Lok Sabha Elections, Kirti Vardhan Singh Alias Raja Bhaiya from BJP won the seat with a margin of 166,360 votes. Kirti Vardhan Singh Alias Raja Bhaiya was polled 508,190 votes with a vote share of 55.00 % and defeated Vinod Kumar Alias Pandit Singh from SP who got 341,830 votes (36.99 %). In the 2014 Lok Sabha Elections, Kirti Vardhan Singh from BJP won the seat and was polled 359,639 votes with a vote share of 41.15%. SP Lok Sabha Elections 2024 Results -SP candidate Nandita Shukla got 199,227 votes (22.80 %) and was the runner-up.Kirti Vardhan Singh defeated Nandita Shukla by a margin of 160,412 votes.
