The Sikkim seat comprises 31 Assembly segments including Yuksom-tashiding(bl), Yangthang, Maneybung-dentam, Gyalshing-barnyak, Rinchenpong(bl), Daramdin(bl), Soreong-chakung, Salghari-zoom(sc), Barfung(bl), Poklok-kamrang, Namchi-singhithang, Melli, Namthang-rateypani, Temi-namphing, Rangang-yangang, Tumen-lingi(bl), Khamdong-singtam, West-pendam(sc), Rhenock, Chujachen, Gnathang-machong(bl), Namcheybung, Shyari(bl), Martam-rumtek(bl), Uppertadong, Arithang, Gangtok(bl), Upperburtuk, Kabi-lungchuk(bl), Djongu(bl), Lachen-mangan(bl). The constituency is a GENERAL seat. The SKM, the SDF are the main parties in the constituency. In the 2019 Lok Sabha Elections, Indra Hang Subba from SKM won the seat with a margin of 12,433 votes. Indra Hang Subba was polled 166,922 votes with a vote share of 47.00 % and defeated Dek Bahadur Katwal from SDF who got 154,489 votes (43.71 %). In the 2014 Lok Sabha Elections, Prem Das Rai from SDF won the seat and was polled 163,698 votes with a vote share of 52.79%. SKM Lok Sabha Elections 2024 Results -SKM candidate Tek Nath Dhakal got 121,956 votes (39.34 %) and was the runner-up.Prem Das Rai defeated Tek Nath Dhakal by a margin of 41,742 votes.
