The BJP, the INC are the main parties in the constituency. In the 2019 Lok Sabha Elections, Girish Bhalchandra Bapat from BJP won the seat with a margin of 324,628 votes. Girish Bhalchandra Bapat was polled 632,835 votes with a vote share of 61.00 % and defeated Mohan Joshi from INC who got 308,207 votes (29.76 %). In the 2014 Lok Sabha Elections, Anil Shirole from BJP won the seat and was polled 569,825 votes with a vote share of 57.33%. INC Lok Sabha Elections 2024 Results -INC candidate Dr.vishwajeet Patangrao Kadam got 254,056 votes (25.56 %) and was the runner-up.Anil Shirole defeated Dr.vishwajeet Patangrao Kadam by a margin of 315,769 votes.
