The Ladakh seat comprises 4 Assembly segments including Nubra, Leh, Kargil, Zanskar. The constituency is a ST seat. The BJP, the IND are the main parties in the constituency. In the 2019 Lok Sabha Elections, Jamyang Tsering Namgyal from BJP won the seat with a margin of 10,930 votes. Jamyang Tsering Namgyal was polled 42,914 votes with a vote share of 34.00 % and defeated Sajjad Hussain from IND who got 31,984 votes (25.12 %). In the 2014 Lok Sabha Elections, Thupstan Chhewang from BJP won the seat and was polled 31,111 votes with a vote share of 26.13%. IND Lok Sabha Elections 2024 Results -IND candidate Ghulam Raza got 31,075 votes (26.10 %) and was the runner-up.Thupstan Chhewang defeated Ghulam Raza by a margin of 36 votes.
