The North Goa seat comprises 20 Assembly segments including Pernem, Bicholim, Tivim, Mapusa, Siolim, Saligao, Calangute, Porvorim, Aldona, Panaji, Taleigao, St.cruz, St.andre, Cumbarjua, Maem, Sanquelim, Poriem, Valpoi, Priol, Mandrem. The constituency is a GENERAL seat. The BJP, the INC are the main parties in the constituency. In the 2019 Lok Sabha Elections, Shripad Yesso Naik from BJP won the seat with a margin of 80,247 votes. Shripad Yesso Naik was polled 244,844 votes with a vote share of 57.00 % and defeated Girish Raya Chodankar from INC who got 164,597 votes (38.37 %). In the 2014 Lok Sabha Elections, Shripad Yesso Naik from BJP won the seat and was polled 237,903 votes with a vote share of 58.46%. INC Lok Sabha Elections 2024 Results -INC candidate Ravi Naik got 132,304 votes (32.51 %) and was the runner-up.Shripad Yesso Naik defeated Ravi Naik by a margin of 105,599 votes.
