Valmiki Nagar Lok Sabha Elections 2024 Results - Valmiki Nagar is one of the Lok Sabha constituencies in Bihar. The state has 40 parliamentary seats. The Valmiki Nagar seat comprises 6 Assembly segments including Valmikinagar, Ramnagar(sc), Narkatiaganj, Bagaha, Lauriya, Sikta. The constituency is a GENERAL seat. The JD(U), the INC are the main parties in the constituency. In the 2019 Lok Sabha Elections, Baidyanath Prasad Mahto from JD(U) won the seat with a margin of 354,616 votes. Baidyanath Prasad Mahto was polled 602,660 votes with a vote share of 58.00 % and defeated Shashwat Kedar from INC who got 248,044 votes (24.03 %). In the 2014 Lok Sabha Elections, Satish Chandra Dubey from BJP won the seat and was polled 364,013 votes with a vote share of 40.44%. INC Lok Sabha Elections 2024 Results -INC candidate Purnmasi Ram got 246,218 votes (27.35 %) and was the runner-up.Satish Chandra Dubey defeated Purnmasi Ram by a margin of 117,795 votes.
Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury lost to TMC candidate Yusuf Pathan in Baharampur constituency by around 85,022 votes, according to the Election Commission of India data. Adhir Chowdhury secured 4,39,494 votes while Yusuf Pathan secured 5,24,516 votes.

PM Modi visited ancient Nalanda University ruins in Bihar ahead of inaugurating the new Nalanda University campus in Rajgir. This was his first visit to state since Lok Sabha polls. Established around 1,600 years ago, the original Nalanda University is among world's first residential residential.
