Sitamarhi Lok Sabha Elections 2024 Results - Sitamarhi is one of the Lok Sabha constituencies in Bihar. The state has 40 parliamentary seats. The Sitamarhi seat comprises 6 Assembly segments including Bathnaha(sc), Parihar, Sursand, Bajpatti, Sitamarhi, Runnisaidpur. The constituency is a GENERAL seat. The JD(U), the RJD are the main parties in the constituency. In the 2019 Lok Sabha Elections, Sunil Kumar Pintu from JD(U) won the seat with a margin of 250,539 votes. Sunil Kumar Pintu was polled 567,745 votes with a vote share of 55.00 % and defeated Arjun Ray from RJD who got 317,206 votes (30.51 %). In the 2014 Lok Sabha Elections, Ram Kumar Sharma from RLSP won the seat and was polled 411,265 votes with a vote share of 45.67%. RJD Lok Sabha Elections 2024 Results -RJD candidate Sitaram Yadav got 263,300 votes (29.24 %) and was the runner-up.Ram Kumar Sharma defeated Sitaram Yadav by a margin of 147,965 votes.
Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury lost to TMC candidate Yusuf Pathan in Baharampur constituency by around 85,022 votes, according to the Election Commission of India data. Adhir Chowdhury secured 4,39,494 votes while Yusuf Pathan secured 5,24,516 votes.

PM Modi visited ancient Nalanda University ruins in Bihar ahead of inaugurating the new Nalanda University campus in Rajgir. This was his first visit to state since Lok Sabha polls. Established around 1,600 years ago, the original Nalanda University is among world's first residential residential.
