The BJP, the RJD are the main parties in the constituency. In the 2019 Lok Sabha Elections, Janardan Singh Sigriwal from BJP won the seat with a margin of 230,772 votes. Janardan Singh Sigriwal was polled 546,352 votes with a vote share of 56.00 % and defeated Randhir Kumar Singh from RJD who got 315,580 votes (32.43 %). In the 2014 Lok Sabha Elections, Janardan Singh "sigriwal" from BJP won the seat and was polled 320,753 votes with a vote share of 37.88%. RJD Lok Sabha Elections 2024 Results -RJD candidate Prabhu Nath Singh got 282,338 votes (33.34 %) and was the runner-up.Janardan Singh "sigriwal" defeated Prabhu Nath Singh by a margin of 38,415 votes.
