Voting for 10 Lok Sabha seats in Haryana will be held on May 12, the Election Commission announced on Sunday.
After the Election Commission of India announced the poll schedule for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, PM Modi extended his best wishes to the Election Commission, the officials and security personnel who will be on the field for assuring smooth elections.
According to the Chief Election Commissioner, a three member panel of observers will be appointed to assess the security situation for holding assembly election later.
The 2019 Lok Sabha elections will be held in seven phases from April 11 to May 19 and the votes will be counted on May 23.
It remains to be seen how many Muslim leaders are fielded in the polls and how many of them get elected. But if the outcome of the 2014 Lok Sabha elections is taken into account, one can not expect a huge change in 2019.
