Speaking to PTI, the Congress chief clarified that his current Lok Sabha seat Amethi will continue to be his karmabhoomi. On the question of fielding Priyanka Gandhi as a candidate in the Lok Sabha polls, he said that it will be her own decision.
The final list of candidates was released by Tamil Nadu Chief Electoral Officer Satyabrata Sahoo on Friday. As many as 92 candidates withdrew from the electoral race for the Lok Sabha polls, leaving 845 in the fray.
Hardik, who joined the Congress on March 12, had expressed his willingness to contest the election from Jamnagar Lok Sabha seat.

The announcement was made by Tejashwi Yadav at a press conference on Friday, but absence of any senior Congress leader on the occasion showed the party's displeasure over arm-twisting by Lalu Prasad's RJD.
"We want India's voice and aspirations to prosper. We don't believe in one man's voice. We believe in everyone's voice and choices. It requires tremendous discipline and hard work to do, but it works," Rahul Gandhi said.
