Rafale row: Pakistan plays up Rahul Gandhi’s attacks on PM Modi

Hitting back, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) spokesperson Sambit Patra said, “What is it that Congress and Pakistan have in common? The commonality is the frustration of both and their only aim is to somehow remove Modiji from Indian polity.”

Pakistan is playing up Congress chief Rahul Gandhi’s attacks on Prime Minister Narendra Modi over Rafale issue.

Suddenly, the neighbouring country is praising the Congress president way too much.

While responding to some tweets, Senator Rehman Malik even predicted Gandhi as next PM of India and said that people should respect him.

He also attacked PM Modi and said that the latter is “scared” of Gandhi.

“RG is ur next PM, therefore, respect him. I in humble capacity all alone have exposed your RAW/PM Modi in the world and the world media is paying more attention to my substantive evidence based tweets against PM Modi not your abuses to me. Stop abusing and grow up dear Indian abusers,” Malik tweeted.

“Sir Rahul is your next PM as he is talking sense in his pressers. PM Modi is scared of him,” Senator said.

"The one who exposed Jet Gate scandal is no one but Rahul your own citizen and leader. You see your inimical mindset that you want to hand him over to Pak just because he exposed Jet Gate against your RSS infected PM Modi. What a shame. Note it. He will beat PM Modi in Jet Gate and next elections," Malik tweeted.

Chaudhry Fawad Hussain, Pakistan’s Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting also attacked PM Modi over Rafale deal.

“We reject warmongering by ruling elite of India everyone knows Indian Govt strategy is to use hate-mongering against Pak basically to bail Pm Modi from call for resignation post-French jets Rafael deal and divert attention of Indian public from this mega corruption scandal,” Hussain tweeted.

Hitting back, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) spokesperson Sambit Patra said, “What is it that Congress and Pakistan have in common? The commonality is the frustration of both and their only aim is to somehow remove Modiji from Indian polity.”

On its part, Congress’ Randeep Surjewala said, “Faced with corruption exposed in Rafale scam, an unnerved, frustrated and worried Modi govt is seeking shelter of Pak to deflect attention of the country. Was your love for Pak not apparent when you were indulging in saree-shawl diplomacy while Pak was killing our soldiers."

Meanwhile, a delegation of Congress has met with the Central Vigilance Commission (CVC) “on Rafale jet purchase scam."

"A delegation of Congress has met with the Central Vigilance Commission (CVC), submitted a detailed memorandum on Rafale jet purchase scam. We have demanded CVC to take cognizance, to seize all files and documents and register an FIR," said Congress leader Anand Sharma.

It is pertinent to mention here that just seven months before the Lok Sabha elections 2019, the Congress party is trying to corner the Modi government over the Rafale deal.

The party has alleged corruption in the deal to buy 36 Rafale fighter jets. The government is buying the fighter aircrafts from France's Dassault Aviation.

The Modi government has caused a loss of over Rs 41,000 crore to the exchequer by paying a higher price for the aircraft, alleged the Congress party.
