Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav on Sunday said Narendra Modi is a 180-degree Prime Minister who does opposite to what he claims.
Akhilesh further said that the prime minister only represents 1% of the population.
“He (PM Modi) is a 180-degree Prime Minister, he does just the opposite of whatever he says. He is the Prime Minister of only 1% of the population,” the Samajwadi leader told news agency ANI.
Countering Prime Minister Modi for his comments that SP has a tacit understanding with the Congress and BSP chief Mayawati has been kept in the dark, Akhilesh said that the SP-BSP alliance will a key role in forming the government at the Centre and in deciding who will be the next prime minister.
“PM's language has changed because BJP is lagging behind in previous phases of elections. BJP can see no other way. They're not talking about development, farmers' income. PM just wants to mislead people. SP-BSP-RLD will decide who will form govt and be the PM,” he added.
PM Modi, in a rally in Uttar Pradesh’s Pratapgarh on Saturday, said that the SP was going soft on the Congress, adding that SP under the pretext of a grand alliance used Mayawati.
“They have been shrewd with her and kept her in the dark about their intentions. They even promised to make her the PM. Now, Behenji has realized their ploy and openly criticizes the Congress,” PM Modi had said.
