Just a few months before the Assembly elections, Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) has written a letter to ticket aspirants asking them to increase their social media presence.
“Candidates in upcoming polls must have 15,000 likes on their Facebook page, 5000 followers on Twitter and a WhatsApp group of booth-level workers,” read the letter dated September 2.

They must like and also retweet every post on MPCC's twitter account, the letter further says.
Elections to the Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly will going to be held later this year to elect members of the 230 constituencies in the state.
The tenure of Assembly is ending on 7 January 2019.
And just a few months after the state polls, Lok Sabha elections 2019 will going to take place in the months of April-May to constitute the 17th Lok Sabha. The out come of the state elections will definitely going to have its impact on the general elections.
The state is presently ruled by the BJP.
