Out of the 17 seats in Maharashtra in the fourth phase polling of 2019 Lok Sabha election, six parliamentary constituencies of Mumbai went to vote on Monday.
This phase of polling will witness several high-profile contests and it will be interesting to see who wins the battle.
The first to feature on the list is the newest entrant in the world of politics -- Bollywood actor Urmila Matondkar. She joined the Congress party in March 2019.
The party gave her the ticket for Mumbai North seat and fielded her against Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) sitting parliamentarian Gopal Shetty, who had defeated Congress's Sanjay Nirupam by a margin of 4.46 lakh votes in 2014.
The 45-year old actress left no stone unturned while campaigning, and showed she would not take the battle sitting idle.
Another tough battle is between Poonam Mahajan, daughter of late Union minister Pramod Mahajan and Priya Dutt, daughter of late actor and minister Sunil Dutt, for North Central Mumbai constituency.
Poonam defeated Priya in 2014 Lok Sabha election by a margin of 1.86 lakh votes.
Priya Dutt is more confident this time and believes that the outcome will be different in the ongoing polls.
Meanwhile, Congress' Mumbai unit president Milind Deora is locking horns with Shiv Sena leader Arvind Sawant on South Mumbai seat.
Despite losing to Sawant by a margin of 1.28 lakh votes in 2014 Lok Sabha election, Milind Deora is hopeful this time -- more so, because of the support from industrialists Mukesh Ambani and Uday Kotak.
