Naveen Patnaik's Biju Janata Dal (BJD) appears to be holding its ground strongly in Odisha and is likely to win big in 2019 Lok Sabha elections, an Opinion Poll conducted by CNX for IndiaTV shows.
According to IndiaTV-CNX Opinion Poll, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), despite its best efforts, is unlikely to make any major dent in BJD's prospects.
In Odisha, which has 21 Lok Sabha seats, the ruling Biju Janata Dal may get 16 seats, leaving the remaining five seats for the BJP. The Congress may even fail to open its account.
Vote sharewise, Biju Janata Dal may see a slight dip from 44.77 per cent in 2014 to 44.00 in 2019. On the other hand, the BJP may register a jump from 21.88 per cent in 2014 to 28.53 per cent this time. The Congress may get a vote share of 21.67 per cent in 2019, but is unlikely to win any seat.

In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, the BJD had swept the state winning 20 seats. The remaining one seat was captured by the BJP. The Congress could not win even a single seat.
