Democracy, Mahatma Gandhi said, "gives the weak the same chance as the strong". As the world's biggest election enters phase 4 of polls, IndiaTvNews.com brings to you a photo from Begusarai Lok Sabha constituency, where voting is going on.
And this time, it is not about Kanhaiya Kumar or Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) Giriraj Singh or for that matter Rashtriya Janata Dal's (RJD) Tanweer Hasan.
It is about 95-year old Ramshreshtha Rai in Begusarai's Bachchwara.
A heartwarming picture has emerged from Begusarai which shows the 95-year-old come out and vote.
Rai cannot stand on his own. But understands the importance of his one vote. His age or physical condition cannot deter him from exercising his vote.
Take a look at these heartwarming pictures, sent by our correspondent Nitish Chandra, who is camping in Begusarai.
The photographs show Ramshreshtha Rai being carried by his grandson.
As many as 72 Lok Sabha seats, mostly in Hindi heartland, went to polls on Monday. More than 12 crore people are eligible to vote today.
Phase 4 will also see polling in the final phase of the Odisha Assembly elections as well the by-poll to Madhya Pradesh's Chhindwara Assembly seat from where Chief Minister Kamal Nath is contesting in order to become a legislator.
The final phase of polling is scheduled on May 19 and results will be declared on May 23.
