Actor-turned-politician Shatrughan Sinha will officially join the Congress Party on April 6. Shatrughan Sinha met Rahul Gandhi today after which the date was fixed. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has launched an all-out attack on Congress Party and Opposition for questioning the valour of defence forces. PM Modi also blamed SP, BSP and RLD for an opportunistic alliance. Here's what happened through the day.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi attended three mega rallies on the election campaign trail today. PM Modi launched an all-out attack against Congress Party and its stand on national security. This was Modi's first election rally after India joined the three Space Superpowers with Mission Shakti on Wednesday. On the other hand, the Congress campaign was led by Priyanka Gandhi who sought support in party bastion Amethi and Rae Bareli. Be evening we came to know that Begusarai left candidate Kanhaiya Kumar had managed to crowdfund Rs 25 lakh for his election campaign.
