The man, who slapped Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal during his road show on May 4, has said he had no idea why he did that. In fact, he regrets it now.
Suresh, 33, told ANI: "I don't know why I slapped him. I regret it now."
He claimed he was not affiliated with any party and nobody influenced him to do so.
"I'm not affiliated to any political party; nobody asked me to do this," he said.
Suresh was arrested by the Delhi Police after he slapped the chief minister. He also said that while he was in custody, police did not misbehave with him.
"Police did not misbehave with me. They only said what I did was wrong," Suresh added.
On May 4, Kejriwal was slapped by Suresh during his roadshow in Moti Nagar, West Delhi. Kejriwal was campaigning for the ongoing Lok Sabha election.
He was waving to the public from his vehicle when Suresh suddenly jumped on the bonnet and slapped Delhi CM. He was caught and thrashed by AAP supporters after the incident.
