Congress has ended speculation over its candidate from Varanasi Lok Sabha seat. Ending speculation over Priyanka Gandhi contesting PM Modi, Congress has fielded Ajay Rai again from Varanasi.
Ajay Rai was at third place in 2014 election as Narendra Modi won by whooping margin.
Meanwhile, in a related development, Prime Minister Modi will file his nomination from Varanasi Lok Sabha constituency, on Friday.
On Thursday, in a show of strength, he will hold a roadshow in the holy city. PM will also take part in Ganga aarti.
