Prime Minister Narendra Modi continued his sharp attack against the incumbent Congress government in poll-bound Karnataka as his campaign blitzkrieg hit Vijayapura, Koppal and Bengaluru today.
UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi is addressing a public rally in Karnataka's Bijapur. Sonia has hit the campaign trail for the first time in the last two years since she fell sick during a poll campaign in Varanasi.
"The BJP Government collected Rs 10 lakh crore in taxes on Petrol/LPG/Diesel since 2014. Yet, NO relief in prices for our citizens. This video shows the truth about fuel prices under PM Modi," Gandhi said on Twitter using the hashtag 'BJPReducePetrolPrices'.
The former PM further alleged that the country's growth rate under NDA government was lower than UPA regime despite favourable conditions.
Of the 2,654 candidates in fray for the upcoming Karnataka Assembly Elections, at least 883 candidates are multi-millionaires and around 645 have criminal cases against them.
PM Modi is expected to continue his sharp attack on incumbent Congress in Karnataka as he campaigns for BJP for the upcoming assembly polls in Naragund, Harapanahalli, Rajarajeshwari and Nelamangala today.
The Prime Minister said there had been such a fall in the party that a Congress leader went to be amid those raising slogans like "Bharat ke tukde honge", giving them blessings.
