Bhawanathpur Constituency Result 2019 | Bhanu Pratap Shahi of Bhartiya Janta party wins by 39904 votes while Congress's Kedar Prasad Yadav defeated by him from Bishrampur Constituency.
In the 2014 Jharkhand Assembly elections, Bhanu Pratap Shahi of BJP won in this seat by defeating the BJP candidate by a margin of 2661 votes which was 1.26 per cent of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP had a vote share of 27.79 per cent in 2014 in the seat.
In 2009, of INC won in this seat by defeating the NSAM candidate by a margin of 22,168 votes which was 14.06 per cent of the total votes polled in the constituency.
