Prime Minister Narendra Modi today launched a scathing attack on the Congress party, saying “when it comes to honestly, people of the country will not believe Congress even in the coming 100 years”.
“There was a time when newspapers were full of 2G Spectrum and corruption news all over. At the time of Congress regime there was discussion about how much has gone and now we discuss how much has come,” Modi said while speaking at a rally in Sundarnagar of Mandi district in Himachal Pradesh.
He said that the upcoming assembly elections in the hilly state were not only about forming a new government but building a grand and divine state. "This election is not only about forming a government but building a Bhavya (grand) and Divya (divine) Himachal," he opined.
The Prime Minister also said that his government will teach lesson to those who looted the country and added that people of Himachal will give stringent punishment to Congress this time.
“We want to change lives in villages in India be it roads, railways, air, highways. We want to work for Himachal. Modern infrastructure brings development. Himachal has much potential to expand its tourism sector. We want to strengthen it further,” he said.

PM Modi's Raitt rally
Prime Minster Narendra Modi today launched a blistering attack on the Congress party for its plans to burn the effigy of the PM on November 8 and said that he won't be cowed down by such acts.
"People who were habitual looters and were forced to return the money they grabbed, won't let me be at peace. They're going to celebrate 8 November as black day and burn my effigies. They don't know Modi is disciple of Sardar Patel and won't be cowed down," PM Modi said while addressing an election rally at Raitt in Kangra.
Predicting a three-fourth majority for the BJP in the upcoming elections, the prime minister said that the Congress will not be visible in the state in coming years.

"No senior Congress leader came here to campaign. They have already left the field, leaving everything on fate. I have heard that Congress has lost the trust of it's own leaders and is looking for rebels in other parties," he added.

On Thursday, PM Modi addressed an election rally at Kangra where he attacked the Congress and its leadership, calling the party “a product of a sick mindset and outlook”, and added that it was no longer the Congress of Mahatma Gandhi but a party based on principles of corruption and dynastic rule.
Appealing the voters to get rid of Congress in Himachal, Mr. Modi said in Dhaula Kuan near Nahan in Sirmaur district: “A new and an honest government is on the way in Himachal and that would not allow anyone to plunder the resources of this small hill State.”
The Prime Minister also endorsed the name of Prem Kumar Dhumal for the top post in the State and said the party would sweep polls in coming Assembly elections.
Polling for the 68-member Himachal Assembly will take place on November 9 while counting of votes is scheduled for December 18.
