The party has released the names of 70 candidates, including Chief Minister Vijay Rupani, in the first list released on Friday.

The BJP has given tickets to 17 Patidars, 11 members of ST, 6 Rajputs, 18 OBCs, 3 Brahmins and 3 members of SC.
The party has given ticket to 5 former Congress MLAs who had cross over to the BJP ahead of Assembly elections.
The BJP has given tickets to 49 sitting MLAs. There are 15 new faces among the first list of 70 candidates.
Out of 70 candidates, the fate of 58 will be decided in the first phase of elections. The fate of the remaining 12 will be decided in the second phase.
Earlier on Wednesday, the Central Election Committee (CEC) of the party held meeting to discuss the candidates for Gujarat polls.
Prime Minister Modi, Party chief Amit Shah, state Chief Minister Vijay Rupani, and other office bearers had attended CEC meeting on Wednesday evening.
The two phase elections in Gujarat will take place on December 9 and 14. The results will be announced along with that of Himachal Pradesh on December 18.
The first phase of the polls in Gujarat will cover 89 constituencies in 19 districts while the second phase will cover 93 constituencies spread across 14 districts.
The filing of nominations for the polls began on November 14.
