Gujarat elections: BJP to begin massive poll campaign with PM Modi's 8 rallies in 2 days, 50,000 tea stalls to be set up

The BJP will also kick-off carpet bombing campaign on November 26 targeting all 89 constituencies that will go to polls on December 9.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address eight election rallies in Saurashtra-Kutch and South Gujarat region which will go to the polls in the first phase on December 9.

Making the announcement, Bhupendra Yadav, Gujarat BJP in-charge and party’s national general secretary, said that the prime minister will address four rallies in Bhuj, Jasdan, Amreli and Surat on November 27.

He further added that the prime minister will address another four rallies in Morbi, Somnath, Bhavnagar and Navsari on November 29.

The BJP will also kick-off carpet bombing campaign on November 26 targeting all 89 constituencies that will go to polls on December 9.

The party will hold ‘Mann ki baat, chai ke saath’ programme on November 26 at around 50,000 booths of the state in which BJP workers and leaders will actively participate.

Yadav revealed that BJP’s star campaigners including party president Amit Shah, Rajnathj Singh, Sushmaj, Arunj Jaitley, Nitin Gadkari, Uma Bharti, Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Vasundhara Rajej Scindia, Yogi Adityanathj, Gujarat CM Vijay Rupani, Nitin Patel, Jitu Vaghani, Anandiben Patel, Parshottam Rupala and all state leaders will participate in Jan Samvad programme on November 26 evening.

He added that the BJP campaign will focus on two important themes:  Vikasvad vs Vanshvad and  Vikasvad vs Jativad.

The polling for the two-phase elections in the state, having total 182 assembly seats, will take place on December 9 and 14 and votes will be counted on December 18.

While 89 seats of Saurashtra and South Gujarat region will go to polls in the first phase, the election in the remaining 93 constituencies in central and northern regions will be held in the second phase.
