Congress president Rahul Gandhi named Ashok Gehlot as the CM of Rajasthan and Sachin Pilot as his deputy on Friday putting curtains to hours of drama and suspense. However, the Congress is still undecided who to pick for the top post in Chhattisgarh where party won an overwhelming majority in the just concluded Assembly elections. A final decision in this regard is expected today. Bhupesh Baghel, TS Singh Deo, Tamradhwaj Sahu are said to be front runners for Chhattisgarh CM post.

The Congress legislature meet is scheduled to take place in Raipur on Saturday and an announcement over the CM face is expected after this meeting.
Earlier on Friday, Rahul Gandhi met four senior leaders of the state unit of the party - Bhupesh Baghel, TS Singh Deo, Tamradhwaj Sahu and Charan Das Mahant - in Delhi and held discussions with them. Deo and Baghel are being seen as leading contenders for the top post.
Gandhi also held a meeting with the party's central observer for Chhattisgarh Mallikarjun Kharge. AICC in-charge of party affairs in Chhattisgarh PL Punia was also present in the meeting.
Congress ended the BJP's 15-year rule in Chhattisgarh by winning 68 seats of 90-seat state Assembly.
