Assembly Elections 2024 Results
The Election Commission of India (ECI) declared the schedule for the Assembly Elections 2024 in Maharashtra and Jharkhand on October 15. Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Rajiv Kumar, along with Election Commissioners Gyanesh Kumar and Sukhbir Singh Sandhu, announced the much-anticipated poll dates for the 2024 state elections. Polling in Jharkhand for its 81 Assembly seats will take place across two phases on November 13 (43 constituencies) and November 20 (38 constituencies), while Maharashtra's 288 seats will witness voting on November 20. The total number of electors as per electoral rolls in Jharkhand is 2,60,87,698, whereas the total number of electors as per electoral rolls in Maharashtra is 9,64,85,765. 28 seats are reserved for the Scheduled Tribes (STs) in Jharkhand, while 25 seats are reserved for the STs in Maharashtra. 9 seats are reserved for the Scheduled Castes (SCs) in Jharkhand, whereas 29 seats are reserved for the SCs in Maharashtra. The counting of votes in Jharkhand and Maharashtra will take place on November 23.
