WBJEE 2024: Tie-breaking method
In case of a tie in ranks, candidates with fewer negative marks in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry will be prioritized. If the tie persists, those with more positive marks in Mathematics and Physics are ranked higher, followed by those with more positive marks in Mathematics and Chemistry. Subsequent tie-breaking criteria include fewer negative marks in Mathematics and Physics, than in Mathematics and Chemistry. If unresolved, candidates with more positive marks in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry for 2-mark questions are considered, followed by fewer negative marks in the same subjects for 2-mark questions. Finally, if a tie remains, the older candidate is given a higher rank based on their date of birth.
