The National Testing Agency (NTA) announced new dates for conducting the University Grants Commission-National Eligibility Test (UGC-NET) 2024 exams. As per the official notice, the National Testing Agency will be conducting the UGC NET re-exams between August 21 and September 4. The UGC NET re-exam will be held in an online computer-based test (CBT) at various exam centres nationwide. All those who applied for the NET exam 2024 this year, will be able to download their call letters in due course of time. It is expected that the testing agency will upload the call letters one or two weeks prior to the exam date. As of now, the exam authority has only shared the exam dates. The exact date for releasing the admit cards will be shared in due course of time.
NTA June 2024 Session New Exam Schedule
"The UGC NET June 2024 Cycle examination was earlier held in pen & paper (offline) mode. However, it will now be held in the Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode," the testing agency stated in the official notice. As notified on the very same notice, the NCET exams will be conducted by the agency on July 10. The testing agency will be conducting the Joint Council of Scientific and Industrial Research-University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (CSIR UGC NET) examination from July 25 to 27 in a computer-based test. The testing agency also confirmed in the official notice that the All India Ayush Post Graduate Entrance Test (AIAPGET) will commence on July 6.
The UGC NET 2024 examination was cancelled a day after being conducted on June 18 by the National Testing Agency (NTA) due to reports of irregularities. A committee has been formed whose task is to ensure transparent, smooth and fair conduct of examination amidst the ongoing NTA, and NEET controversies. The UGC-NET exam is conducted for assistant professorship, junior research fellowship (JRF) and PhD admissions.
UGC NET re-exam: Admit card expected date
The admit cards for the UGC NET examination will be provided to the candidates likely in the second or third week i.e. before August 21. The official dates will be notified to the candidates on the official website. Candidates are advised to keep a check on the official website for more updates regarding the same. The admit card will contain personal details, exam details, exam centre details, instructions and guidelines for exam day, and contact information.

Candidates can follow the mentioned steps to check and download their admit cards, once released:-
- Visit the official website, ugcnet.nta.nic.in.
- On the homepage, click on the link 'UGC NET June 2024 admit card download'.
- A login window will open.
- Enter the login credentials like the login credentials and date of birth.
- Click on 'Submit'.
- The admit card will be displayed on the screen.
- Save and download it for future reference.
