According to the exam body's decision, only those candidates who received the grace marks in the NEET UG 2024 are eligible to re-appear in the exam. The testing body has given two options to the candidates who received grace marks in NEET UG. The first is to re-appear in the NEET UG exam and the second is to accept the actual marks obtained in the exam, which they were informed of on their registered email ID by NTA.

This year, NTA has given grace marks to a total of 1,563 candidates who had experienced time loss during the originally scheduled exam on May 5.  These students were from six centres. One each in Balod and Dantewada in Chhattisgarh, and one each in Surat, Meghalaya, Haryana, Chandigarh, and Bahadurgarh. The re-test will be conducted in these six cities but in different centres.

As per the announcement, the results are likely to be announced on June 30, so that the counselling can begin from July 6.
