The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has extended the last date to collect the pass certificate of the Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (FMGE). The candidates who qualified for the Foreign Medical Graduate Examination in last year's June and December sessions can now collect their pass certificate by August 30.
The Board extended the deadline for the collection of the pass certificate as some candidates failed to collect their FMGE pass certificates by the deadline of February 28, 2024.
"It has been observed that some candidates have failed to collect their FMGE Pass Certificates even by 28.02.2024. Candidature of all such candidates was cancelled by NBEMS for respective FMGE qualified. Subsequently, some candidates have represented before NBEMS for being given another opportunity to collect their FMGE Pass Certificates.
Accordingly, all such FMGE-qualified candidates who have failed to collect their FMGE Pass Certificates in response to the NBEMS notice dated 17.10.2023 are being given another opportunity to collect the same by 30th August 2024. Further, the last date for collection of FMGE Pass Certificate for the December 2023 session is also extended from 6th August 2024 to 30th August 2024," stated the Board on the official notice.
Qualified candidates failing to collect their FMGE pass certificate by August 30 will be assumed to not have any of the required documents to match the eligibility and the candidature will be cancelled. No further opportunities to collect the pass certificates will be given to any of the qualified candidates.
Appointment before collection of pass certificate:
The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) informed that the candidates who are qualified and eligible will have to seek prior appointment from the Board before collecting the Foreign Medical Graduate Examination pass certificate, by sending a request to the Communication Web Portal (CWP) of NBEMS.
Candidates will have to be present at the NBEMS office to collect the pass certificate, as per their scheduled appointment. Candidates will be informed about the documents which will be required to be brought, during scheduling the appointment. Candidates will receive their pass certificate only upon production of the prescribed documents and after the verification of the candidate's identity, including Face ID/Biometrics.
