JoSAA Counselling 2024: The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) is all set to release the second mock seat allocation list today, June 17. A based on the choices filled- in by candidates as on June 16. Candidates who are seeking admission to undergraduate seats of the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) and seats under the NIT+ system can check the result on the official website - josaa.nic.in.
Once the results are announced, the candidates will have the opportunity to lock in their choices. The first mock allotment list was out on June 15.
As per the schedule, the seat allotment result for the first round will be out on June 20, and candidates have to report online, make payments, and upload documents from June 20 to 24.
The counselling will be done in five rounds scheduled to ensure a comprehensive allocation process. As per the schedule, the counselling will be done from June 19 to July 23. The students can check the complete schedule in the provided PDF.

What is JoSAA?
The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) is an agency established by the Ministry of Education [erstwhile Ministry of Human Resources Development (MHRD)] to manage and regulate the joint seat allocation for admissions to 121 institutes for the academic year 2024-25. This includes 23 IITs, 31 NITs, IIEST Shibpur, 26 IIITs and 40 Other-Government Funded Technical Institutes (Other-GFTIs). Admission to all the academic programs offered by these Institutes will be made through a single platform.
