JoSAA Counselling 2024: Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) has activated the counselling registration process today, June 10 for admission to undergraduate seats of the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) and seats under the NIT+ system. All those who have valid JEE Main and JEE advanced rank can participate in the counselling procedure. The initial round counselling procedure can be completed at the official website, josaa.nic.in. The choice filling and pre-payment of the seat acceptance can be done between June 10 and 18. In the case of candidates who have opted for the Architecture Aptitude Test (AAT), the registration will start on June 14, after the declaration of the AAT result. The dates for counselling and closing rank will be announced on June 20.
JoSAA 2024 counselling procedure comprises registration, choice filling/locking, mock allotment, seat allotment, online reporting, document verification and online payment. JoSAA will announce the mock seat allotments 1 & 2 on June 15 and 17 respectively. Candidates allotted seats based on choice filled must provide their preference within the specified timeline.
Who is eligible?
To be a part of the JoSAA Counselling procedure, a candidate should have secured at least 75 per cent aggregate marks in class 12. This criteria for the reserved category is 65 per cent. Moreover, the candidates who are in the top 20 percentile will be considered for counselling.

- On successful registration procedure, fill choices for courses and insitutes
- Lock your choices
- After that, candidates will be allotted seats based on their rank, choices entered for programmes and colleges, and availability of seats.
- Document verification will be done
- Report to the allotted institute
What are documents required for JoSAA Counselling 2024?
Candidates should have the following documents for JoSAA 2024 counselling.
- Class X & XII mark sheet
- Category certificate (if applicable)
- PwD certificate (Original)
- Certificate for the candidates with less than 40% disability
- Cross bank cheque/image of passbook
- Medical certificate
- OCI certificate /PIO card (if applicable)
- Citizenship / Passport (if applicable)
What is counselling fees?
There is no registration fee for counselling filling, but there is a seat acceptance fee of Rs. 20,000 for reserved categories (SC/ST/PwD) categories and Rs. 45,000 for General/OBC-NCL/GEN/EWS categories.
