Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee has today launched a new website for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2025. Candidates who are preparing for next year's engineering entrance exam can check the syllabus on the official website - gate2025.iitr.ac.in.
With the launch of a website, the institute has shared the exam syllabus, paper pattern and marking scheme. However, the detailed notification will be released in due course of time which will include the registration dates, how to apply, and other relevant information required at the time of registration procedure.
It should be noted that GATE 2025 will be conducted for 30 exam centres. Candidates will be allowed to appear either in one or up to two test centres. Candidates seeking admission through GATE 2025 should be aware of whether they are eligible or not to fill out the GATE 2024 application form. Candidates can check the eligibility criteria below.
- Candidates who are studying in the final year of their graduation or have completed graduation from any government-approved degree program in Engineering/Technology/Architecture/Science/Commerce/Arts/Humanities are eligible to appear in the GATE 2025.
- Also, those who possess certification from any such professional societies should ensure that those exams are approved by MoE/AICTE/UGC/UPSC as being equivalent to B.E/B.Tech/B.Arch/B.Planning etc.
- Candidates who have obtained/are pursuing their qualifying degree from countries other than India: Candidates must be currently in the 3rd or higher years or must have completed their Bachelor’s degree (of at least three years duration) in Engineering/ Technology/ Architecture/ Science/ Commerce/ Arts/ Humanities.
When will GATE 2025 registration process be started?
As of now, the institute has not shared the registration date. It is expected that the GATE 2025 registration process will commence in August. The dates for the same will be shared in the GATE 2025 information brochure, once released. Candidates seeking admission to ME/MTech courses through GATE 2025 must visit the official website for latest updates.
