According to a memo issued by the Telangana School Education Department on Saturday, the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examinations in Telangana will be held from May 17 to 26.
Students of the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) have demanded cancellation of board examinations this year, citing several issues. Reaching out on Twitter, several students requested the authorities to promote them on the basis of internal assessment.
Students of the Bihar School Examination (BSEB) have demanded postponement of the board exams scheduled in February, citing safety issues due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The students of CBSE Class 9 and 11 have been urging the board to conduct exams in online mode, citing the continued risk posed by the coronavirus pandemic. Students have expressed unwillingness to appear in offline examinations and said that they were not prepared as schools had not completed the syllabus yet. The board, however, has ruled out the conduction of online examinations for both classes.

Punjab School Education Minister Vijay Inder Singla on Wednesday had informed that schools in the state for classes V to XII will reopen from January 7 with Covid-19 protocols in place. The schools will remain open from 10 am to 3 pm.
The Board of Secondary Eduacation, Assam, has released the datesheet for the Higher Secondary School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) examination. The theory examination will be held from May 11 till June 1. Practical examinations will be conducted on March 4 and 5.
According to a statement issued by Director Primary Education, Govt of Gujarat, “From 2023-24 onwards, it would be compulsory for a child to have completed six years of age, as on 1st June”.
The Chief Executive and Secretary Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) has written to all chief ministers to allow schools to reopen partially from January onwards, especially for students of classes 10 and 12 who will be appearing for board exams.
Students willing to appear for the NIOS 10th, 12th Board Exams 2021, require to pay the public exam fee online through the official website - sdmis.nios.ac.in.
"The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education will not be able to conduct the exams of Class X and XII before May," Gaikwad said. "I have also discussed the issue of how much curriculum can be omitted so that teachers can complete the remaining part.
The syllabus of Telangana state board students has been partially converted into projects or practical activities — exams to which will not be conducted.
The Bihar School Examination Board on Friday has released BSEB Class 10th dummy admit card 2021 on its official website for matric exams. The BSEB 10th dummy admit card is available on the official website of the board - biharboardonline.bihar.gov.in.
While students of classes 9 and 11 will have classes on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, those studying in class 10 and 12 will have it on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays in a week.
A bench headed by Justice A M Khanwilkar was also informed by the University Grants Commission (UGC) that it will commence the academic calender for undergraduate courses from October 31 and by that time the results of almost two lakhs students who appeared for the retest will be out.
Schools in Uttar Pradesh will remain closed this month. Deputy Chief Minister Dinesh Sharma on Wednesday has said that chances of the partial reopening of schools from September 21 were "very bleak" due to the rising number of coronavirus cases in the state.
The examination for those who fail the Class X and XII examinations of the state board, which is generally held in October, will be deferred this year, said Maharashtra School Education Minister Varsha Gaikwad.
BSEH Haryana 10th, 12th Result 2020: The Board of Secondary Education Haryana (BSEH) will distribute the compartment and migration certificates for HBSE 10th result 2020 and HBSE 12th result 2020 on September 1 and 2, 2020.
