UP Board to declare Class 10, 12 results today

The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) on Saturday announced the UP Board Class 12 and UP Board Class 10 Results on its official websites upmsp.edu.in, upresults.nic.in, upmspresults.up.nic.in today.

As many as 58 lakh students had appeared for the Class 10 and 12 exams, which were held from February 7 to March 2.

Education experts say Class 10 and 12 board exam results could see improvement this year, with the UP State Education Board taking several initiatives to maintain good results.

The government had also deployed a special task force, which kept a check on "cheating" in exams. Due to strict vigilance, a few cases of cheating were reported during these board exams.

UP Board Class 10 Results declared

The Uttar Pradesh Board has declared the Class 10 Results on its official website, while the wait is on for Class 12 Results. Gautam Raghuvanshi has topped the Uttar Pradesh Board High School exam with 97.17% marks. Shivam has secured second spot with 97% marks and Tanuja Vishwakarma has secured the third position with 96.83% marks.

The Uttar Pradesh Board has delayed the Class 10, 12 Board Results by an hour. While the UP Board Class 10 Results will be declared now at 1:30 pm, the Inter Results or Class 12 Results will be announced at 1:00 pm.

In academic year 2016-2017, as many as 34,04,571 students appeared for the UP Class 10th Exam and the overall pass percentage was 81.6%. Last year, 26,24,681 students appeared for the Intermediate examination and overall pass percentage was 81.6%.

A total of 1,24,796 teachers checked the UP Board answer sheets

According to reports, 79,064 teachers of the UP Board were appointed to check the answer sheets of Class 10.

Similarly, 45,732 teachers of the UP Board were appointed to check the answer sheets of Class 12.
