The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is likely to declare the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2018 results on Monday. The results are expected to be declared at around 11 am on jeemain.nic.in.
The Board will announce the score for Paper 1, students’ ranks as well as the list of top 22,000 candidates eligible for JEE Advanced. This is the first CBSE exam result to be declared this year.
The results of the JEE Advanced decides on the admission of candidates to IITs, NITs, IIITs and other institutions.
Around 14 lakh students took the JEE Main exam this year to pursue higher education in technical courses. This year, the Computer-Based Mode (Online) Examination was conducted on April 15 and 16, while the offline paper was conducted on April 8.
Here is how candidates can check the JEE Main Exam result 2018:
1. Log on to any one of the official websites – jeemain.nic.in, cbseresults.nic.in or results.nic.in
2. On the homepage, find and click the link for JEE Mains 2018 Results.
3. On the result page, enter your application number, date of birth and the security pin as provided in the image and click on submit, and submit.
4. The result will be displayed on the screen. Download and take a printout of your JEE Main 2018 result for future reference.
Students will be ranked on the basis of their JEE Mains 2018 score and there will be no weightage for Class 12 marks like last year. The Board had released the answer keys for Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) 2018 on April 24.
The registration process for JEE Advanced 2018 will begin on May 2 and the exam will be held on May 20.
