Staff Selection Commission (SSC) announced the results of the first paper held to recruit (Non-Technical) Multi Tasking Staff (MTS) today at www.ssc.nic.in. Candidates can check their results on the official website.
The SSC examination was held from 16 September 2017 till 31 October 2017. Answer keys for the same was released in November. According to reports, over 6 million candidates this year applied for the 8,300 Multi-Tasking (Non-Technical) Staff (MTS) posts in the country under the Staff Selection Commission (SSC). The examination is held to select junior staff in central government departments.
The SSC MTS exam that was conducted in September and October 2017 was earlier slated to take place on 20 April, 14 May, 28 May, 5 June and 11 June. The dates were cancelled and rescheduled after it was found that the question paper and the answer keys were leaked and the same was circulating on social media.
After the declaration of the Paper 1 result, candidates will be eligible to appear for the descriptive one. Paper 2 will comprise of Short Essay/ Letter in English or any language included in the 8th schedule of the Constitution. The paper will carry a total of 50 marks and candidates will be allowed 30 minutes duration for the same. 'Paper-II will only be of qualifying nature and is intended to test elementary language skills in view of re-categorization of the post as Group-C and in view of job requirements.'
Candidates should note that, 'cut-offs in Paper-I and qualifying marks in Paper-II may be different for vacancies in each State/ UT will be fixed at the discretion of the Commission. Candidates for each State/ UT will be finally selected based on their performance in Paper-I, subject to their meeting basic qualifying standards fixed in Paper-II.'

2) Go to latest news section on homepage and click on link ‘MTS result’
3) A new page containing link for write up and result lists will open
4) Click on results' link, enter the registration id
5) Take a printout of the result and save it
