Tihar Jail: A major gang war in Tihar jail claimed the life of Tillu Tajpuriya who was accused in Delhi's Rohini court shootout. He was attacked and beaten to death by rival gang members Yogesh Tunda and others in the prison. After the tussle, Tajpuriya was taken to Delhi's Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital, where he was declared dead. As per the police officials, further investigation is underway.
Big negligence reported in Tihar Jail
Tillu Tajpuria died at the DDU hospital at around 7 am today. Yogesh Tunda and his accomplices attacked Tajpuriya with an iron rod. Big negligence is once again reported in Tihar Jail. As per the reports, Tajpuriya is alleged to be the murderer of the gangster Jitendra Gogi who was killed in the courtroom inside Rohini court. Jitendra Gogi and Tillu Tajpuria had enmity since their college days.
He was stabbed in CJ-8/9 and sent to DDU. All SCJs are to close their jails and control repercussions if any. Yogesh and Deepak attacked Tillu Tajpuriya by breaking the iron grills of the ward which separated both gangs in the same ward no.5 of cj-8/9.
What did Delhi Police say?
Akshat Kaushal, Additional DCP West District, Delhi Police further informed, today morning at around 7 am, information was received from DDU Hospital regarding two UTPs who were brought to DDU Hospital from Tihar Jail. One of them, Sunil alias Tilu was brought into an unconscious state. He has later declared brought dead. Another person, Rohit is undergoing treatment and is out of danger.
Tihar DG Sanjay Beniwal taking cognizance of the matter said, "today on 02.05.2023 ( Tuesday) at around CT SUNIL @ TILLU @ TILU S/O JAGPAL, Age -33 yrs lodged in the ground floor of High Risk Ward was attacked by four inmates ( Deepak @ Titar, S/o Rajbeer Singh , Age 31, Yogesh @ Tunda S/O Rajinder, Age 30 yrs, Rajesh S/O Anoop Singh, Age – 42 yrs , & Riyaz Khan S/o Hyat Khan Age 39 ) lodged in the first floor of the same Ward at around 06.15 am, by cutting open the Iron Grill installed on the first floor of Ward, using improvised sua. The injured inmate was immediately rushed to DDU Hospital after giving the required medical attention at the Central Jail OPD at around 6.45 am. The injured inmate expired during the course of treatment at DDU Hospital.
Is gang war going on inside Tihar?
Tillu Tajpuria was accused of murdering gangster Jitendra Gogi in Delhi's Rohini Court, the murder was witnessed in the courtroom.
Jitendra Gogi is said to be very special to gangster Lawrence Bishnoi.
Deepak Boxer, who was recently brought by Special Cell from Mexico handles Jitendra Gogi's gang. According to sources, Deepak Boxer is also lodged in Tihar Jail. Within one month, this is the second gangster murder case in Tihar Jail. Earlier, Prince Tewatia was murdered, who was a member of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang.
