Swati Maliwal has attacked the Aam Aadmi Party after her complaint against Bibhav Kumar was labelled by the party as a BJP conspiracy and she was called a pawn of the BJP conspiracy
In a post on X, Maliwal said, “Since yesterday, Delhi's ministers have been spreading lies that an FIR for corruption has been filed against me, and that’s why I did all this at the behest of the BJP.”
She went on and said, “This FIR was lodged 8 years ago in 2016 after which both the CM and LG appointed me as the Chairperson of the Women's Commission twice. The case is completely false and the Honourable High Court has stayed it for 1.5 years, acknowledging that no money transaction has taken place.”
Furthermore, she added that earlier she was addressed by AAP leaders as “Lady Singham”. But after she filed a complaint against Bibhav Kumar she is being called a "BJP agent".
“An entire troll army has been unleashed against me just because I spoke the truth”, she added. Making shocking claims she said that they are calling all party members, asking if they have any personal videos of Swati, so as to leak them.
She also alleged that AAP leaders are endangering the lives of her relatives by tweeting details of their vehicle numbers. “Well, lies don't last long. But don't be intoxicated by power and in your obsession to bring someone down so much that when the truth comes out, you are unable to look even your family in the eye”, she further added. Besides, she also warned the AAP leaders saying, “I will take you to court for every lie you spread!”
Maliwal’s accusations against Bibhav Kumar
Maliwal has filed a complaint with the Delhi police, accusing Bibhav Kumar of slapping her at least seven to eight times while kicking her and hitting her on chest, stomach and lower body parts at the CM’s residence on May 13.
Taking action, the police arrested Kumar on Sunday and presented him in front of the court. Following this the court sent Kumar into 5-day police custody. Meanwhile, the Delhi Police on Monday took Kumar to the CM residence and questioned him.
BJP President JP Nadda reacts to the case
Meanwhile, BJP’s national president JP Nadda on Monday also attacked Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal over his silence on the Swati Maliwal assault case. During an electoral rally in Delhi, Nadda said, “This is their style of work.
Kejriwal's silence for four days and shifting the microphone from one side to other clearly shows his dual character and double standards."
He also said that this incident somehow came to light and got people’s attention, otherwise, it is not known how many such incidents have taken place with others.
