As the final phase of the Lok Sabha election is nearing to end on June 1, people are eagerly looking forward to seeing how the result turns out. Meanwhile, preparations are intensifying for the counting of votes for the Lok Sabha elections on June 4. In the Chandni Chowk Lok Sabha constituency, large screens will be set up in various markets and key locations to broadcast live news of the vote counting. This event is being organized by market associations and several social organizations.

With markets remaining open on June 4, traders will be occupied at their shops and unable to keep up with real-time updates on the counting. To address this, trader organisations have decided to display live counting updates on large screens at important locations in their area, a move that has been welcomed by the trader community.

Election Commission prepares for final polling phase

The Election Commission of India is fully prepared to conduct Phase 7 of the Lok Sabha polls on Saturday, the last phase of the elections. Voting will take place in 57 Parliamentary Constituencies (PCs) across 8 States/UTs, including Bihar, Chandigarh, Himachal Pradesh, Jharkhand, Odisha, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, and West Bengal. Additionally, polling for the remaining 42 Assembly Constituencies of the Odisha State Legislative Assembly will also occur simultaneously.

This phase will conclude the world's largest polling marathon, which began on April 19 and has already completed 6 phases and 486 Lok Sabha seats. Voting has been completed smoothly and peacefully for 28 States/UTs and 486 PCs.

Polling teams dispatched for final phase polling

Polling teams have been dispatched with all necessary machines and materials to their respective polling stations. These stations are equipped with essential facilities such as ample shade, drinking water, ramps, and toilets, ensuring a comfortable and secure voting environment. CEOs and state authorities have been instructed to take appropriate measures to handle the potential effects of hot weather or rain wherever forecasted.
