Delhi traffic police issues advisory ahead of DC vs RR IPL 2024 clash at Arun Jaitley Stadium

The 56th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) is set to be played between Delhi Capitals and Rajasthan Royals at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. With the match set to commence at 7:30 PM IST, Delhi traffic police has already charted out diversion plan to avoid traffic near stadium.

Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi is set to host its fourth match today of the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) season. Delhi Capitals and Rajasthan Royals will face in the 56th match of the edition as the race for the playoffs is heating up. Meanwhile, Delhi police has issued advistory to avoid traffic at the routes leading to the stadium in order to make it a smooth experience for the fans.

In its advisory, the Delhi police has requested the commuters to avoid Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg from Delhi Gate to ITO Chowk and JLN Marg from Rajghat to Delhi Gate from 5 PM to 11:30 PM IST. Even though the match is getting underway at 7:30 PM, the gates of the stadium open around 5 PM for the fans to enter.

Shuttle facility is also available for the spectators reaching the stadium using metro station. Shuttle will be available at ITO Pragati Maidan metro stations. Moreover, park and ride facility is also available at Mata Sundari Marg for gate no.1 to 8 and 16 to 18. For gate no.9 to 15, the spectators will have to use park and ride facility at Rajghat Power House Road and Velodrome Road. 

Delhi Police has also designated specific Ola/Uber pick up and drop points to avoid inconvenience for the commuters and has urged the public to follow traffic rules to avoid any hassle. Gate No.2, Maulana Azad medical College on BSZ Marg and Rajghat Chowk are the pick up and drop points for the cab. "General public and motorists are advised to keep patience, observe traffic rules and road discipline and follow direction of traffic personnel deployed at all intersections and remain updated through," the statement read.
