Expecting it to be a hoax call, the Delhi Police said that the third round of inspection is underway at The Indian School in Sadiq Nagar which received a bomb threat via email. The school was immediately evacuated after the Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad were informed. The SWAT team also reached the school for the probe.

According to the initial investigation, the email was received at 10:49 AM. A senior police officer said a person named Brijesh of Indian School, BRT Road, informed them about the email. The school has been evacuated and a thorough check is being conducted by the team, he added.

After receiving the threat, the students were taken to the playground and kept there for almost 2 hours. Nothing suspicious has been found so far, police said.

Talking about the investigation, Chandan Choudhary, DCP South said, "At 10:50 am the school got a bomb threat via e-mail. We evacuated all the students. We deployed BDT and BDS teams. We informed the Special Cell & Special Branch. We have done a visual search with SWAT team."

"Two rounds of search operation already completed, the third round is underway. SWAT team is also at the spot. We are trying to ascertain where this mail came from. Most probably it was a hoax call. Last November, a similar threat e-mail was traced to a Germany-based server," she added.

In November too, a similar bomb call was received at the school, but even then the police did not find anything suspicious.
