The Delhi Fire Service (DFS) reported fires at four different locations in the national capital on Wednesday, including a police station and a mall. Fortunately, no casualties were reported from any of these incidents. The first incident occurred at 4:10 PM at City Centre Mall in Dwarka. A fire broke out in an AC unit and quickly spread to a nearby chimney and another AC unit. The mall was evacuated by security personnel as a precaution. Six fire tenders were dispatched, and the fire was extinguished within half an hour, according to DFS officials.
Blaze in Laxmi Nagar Police station parking lot
At approximately 5:30 PM, a fire was reported in the parking lot of Laxmi Nagar Police Station in East Delhi. Despite the deployment of three fire tenders, the fire was largely controlled by police personnel before the tenders arrived. The fire damaged two cars and four motorcycles parked in the lot.
Commercial Building fire in Rohini Sector-8
Another fire broke out at 8:35 PM in a three-storey commercial building in Rohini Sector-8. The fire is suspected to have started on the ground floor, which houses an eyewear showroom. Twelve fire tenders were deployed, and the blaze was brought under control within one and a half hours.
Residential fire in East of Kailash
The fourth incident was reported in Southeast Delhi's East of Kailash area. A fire started on the third floor of a commercial building housing a residence. Three fire tenders were dispatched, and the fire was controlled within half an hour.
DFS officials confirmed that all four fires were extinguished without any reported injuries, and investigations are ongoing to determine the causes of the blazes.
