The Bhartiya Janta Party is once again set to register their mammoth victory, winning all seven seats in Delhi, according to predicted India TV-CNX exit poll results. The exit poll results, which come mere three days ahead of the final counting of the Lok Sabha Elections 2024 held in seven phases, mentioned that the BJP may repeat its 2019 and 2014 poll verdict, sweeping all seven seats in the national capital, while the Congress and AAP alliance may fail to make a mark.

As announced by the Election Commission of India, the counting of votes for the seven seats in Delhi, as well as the remaining Lok Sabha seats across the country, will be held on June 4. The remaining two seats are filled by nominated representatives of the Anglo-Indian community.

Delhi Elections 2024: Key Constituencies and Candidates

Further, it is pertinent to note that the contest in Delhi presents a two-way battle between the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the I.N.D.I.A bloc, comprising the Indian National Congress (INC) and the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), vying for victory in the seven Lok Sabha constituencies.

  • In Chandni Chowk, Praveen Khandelwal of the BJP faces off against Congress's J. P. Aggrawal in a closely watched battle. Similarly, in New Delhi, BJP's Bansuri Swaraj competes with AAP's Somnath Bharti for electoral supremacy.

  • In North West Delhi, BJP's Yogesh Chandolia squares off against Congress's Udit Raj, while in North East Delhi, BJP's Manoj Tiwari takes on Congress's Kanhaiya Kumar in a high-profile contest.

  • The electoral battleground also extends to West Delhi, where BJP's Kamaljeet Sehrawat challenges AAP's Mahabal Mishra, and in East Delhi, BJP's Harsh Malhotra confronts AAP's Kuldeep Kumar.

  • Lastly, in South Delhi, BJP's Ramvir Singh clashes with AAP's Bidhuri Sahi Ram Pehlwan, promising a riveting showdown in one of the most hotly contested constituencies.

What Happened in 2019 and 2014

Significantly, the BJP which holds a strong prominence among all seven seats in the state is again eyeing a clean sweep for the third time in a row. In the 2019 Lok Sabha Election, the party successfully maintained its 2014 victory by clinching all seven seats in the state and is now again vying to ensure the mammoth victory. However, amid the BJP's strong competition, the battle on all seven seats holds significant importance as, barring Manoj Tiwari's candidacy, the BJP has opted for fresh faces in six of the parliamentary constituencies.
