Delhi waits for its next Chief Minister and a name is eagerly awaited by the people of the National capital and the entire country. Sharing an update on the same, BJP MP Yogender Chandoliya that the situation will be clear in two-three days. BJP will decide Delhi CM after its parliamentary meeting, scheduled to be held tomorrow. BJP defeated AAP in the 2025 Delhi Assembly elections.
'Whole situation will become clear in the next 2 to 3 days'
BJP MP Yogender Chandoliya says, ".. The decision is taken by the party's parliamentary board... The parliamentary board will meet tomorrow or the day after, after which a decision will be taken on the name of the Chief Minister... This meeting will be held in 24 to 36 hours and all 48 MLAs of Delhi will agree on the decision taken by the central leadership... The whole situation will become clear in the next 2 to 3 days..."
On Friday, BJP's national spokesperson Ajay Alok said, "Prime Minister Narendra Modi is returning (from his foreign visit) by tonight. There will be a meeting of our parliamentary board tomorrow or the day after. Delhi's new CM will be before you."
BJP MLA and national secretary of the party Manjinder Singh Sirsa also shared an update on Delhi CM yesterday. BJP legislature party meeting would be held around February 18-19 as PM Modi is also returning from his foreign visit soon, said Sirsa. "The new government will be formed, I think, by February 20, after the swearing-in ceremony," he added.
BJP returned to power after 27 years, winning 48 out of 70 assembly seats. AAP won only 22 seats while the Congress drew a blank in the polls. Earlier on Sunday, AAP leader Atishi resigned as chief minister of Delhi submitting the resignation letter to lieutenant governor VK Saxena at the Raj Niwas.
